“Bringing Persian Art to Modern Homes”
Like history whispering to you from the walls and ancient arms cradling you as you read; Raika, an interior and furniture design and art distribution company, brings Persian art and culture to your everyday life.
An amazing design caught our eye from across the INDEX showroom. It seemed to lean out to us, almost luring us in. As we got closer we noticed the full beauty and depth of heart that resonated from the pieces on display.
Alireza Yavari, President and CEO of Raika, welcomed us warmly and explained his company and vision. “I grew up in Iran, loving Persian and Iranian art… and unfortunately, Iranian art hasn’t been represented well, or the way it should be,” he said. “No one really knows about it.”
So with a graphic designing background, Yavari started his own business in the United States in an attempt to raise awareness of Persian art and creating his own unique twist to the already wondrous scripts from the Persian, Islamic and Middle Eastern arenas.
“I really wanted to bring this art, with its entire heritage, to people everywhere,” said Yavari. And he is well on his way. People stopped to gaze at the captive designs and artwork that ranged from paintings to furniture, and wallpaper to limited edition computer generated prints.
Raika currently does not have representation in Dubai, but rest assured, they will. Their talents are so palpable, even a blind person could feel they are standing in grace when in the presence of Raika designs.
If you must have it now… and I don’t blame you, visit their website at http://www.raika-design.com or send them an email at
